What does the world appear to me as
Appealing or unappealing
Yet I know — it is the same world

A mound of flesh
Of shit
Of gold —
Are the same

Only thinking
My conditioning
The body mind lens
Make the world appear
As it does

Male, female
Young, old
Black, white
I know —

Yet the world appears to me
Only as it does
Through the lens

Without lens
There is no world
No me on this side
No world on the other side
Of the lens

This lens — body mind
As long as it appears
There will be two —
Experience
I and the world

Without it
What remains
Must be —

Nameless
Unknown
Unknowable

No one there
To name, or know it

This brief excursion
Our time here —
To separate and create
The world —

And then return
Where we came from

To where we never left
