I have looked
Up and down
Right and left
Deep inside
And far outside

I have looked
At night, and in the day
Through a thousand winters —
As many springs, autumns
Summers

I have looked

Not once anywhere
Not even for an instant
Have I found a me

So I conclude
No me is there —
Never was
Nor could be

Here or anywhere
Beyond
