Along

Walking along for long
I might as well have been sitting down
Perhaps sitting down I had been
For long just thinking of walking along

In sitting and walking much had gone on
Too much to say even if I tried
Still I would go jot down what I know
And keep it short so I don’t get bored

Much there was sun and lots of rain
Too many the nights and days of quiet
Filled with no love no joy nor complaint
Enough to eat and not too much the pain

That is what’s left when the rest is gone
All the chases the mazes the trials and trails
Without the tales of all flights and fails
All a dream of a dream of waking and walking

Not much after this there’s left to say
Not even if there is a someone to know
Of all that went on while I walked along
Or if sat had I been and nothing went on
